I'm not sure how long this has been around, but this makes an enormous amount of sense.

2) Educated girls grow to be educated women, who end up having healthier babies.
3) When girls earn an income, they reinvest 90% of it back into their families
4) 75% of HIV-infected youth in Africa are girls

In my studies, I have encountered this reality under the label "the feminization of poverty." It is a huge problem all over the world, particularly in the 2/3 world. Thanks for passing along the video clip and information.
